Landforms Galore!

We having been studying landforms in our first unit of social studies. We learned the various features of each landform and how they are formed.

Once my kiddos had a grasp of each landform, I drew 26 US Map outlines on a piece of cardboard. I hooked my projector up and taped the cardboard to my front door and traced away for about an hour.

Then my wonderful husband made me close to 20 pounds of salt dough. I put a large amount of salt dough in 25 bags so that each student would have their own dough to work with. The next day my students and I discussed  where the various landforms were found throughout the United States and together we labeled our maps.
 Then we molded away!

After molding we painted and labeled each landform.
